about

The hyper-programmed mechanical soul of Little Feather came from a few nights of tinkering in the lab with a synclavier, a drum machine, a broke-down sampler and some broken dreams. I put it all together with a semi-fictional history, a kiss, a promise and a nod to the futuristic romance of the '80s.

lyrics

well I won’t say my business my past indiscretions
are something I regularly discuss
I used to think that I kept it all tight and completely
oblique to protect all the innocents
now I’m facing a brighter day
and I know what happens when I turn away
I lose the light and I lose my way
I turn around and I hear you say

we should think about leaving this planet
before it gets blown apart
you and me could be little feathers
floatin round in the dark
baby when you hear them talking
trying to sound so smart
tell them to shut their mouth
little feather
they don't know what they say

aw baby let me get the dictionary
so I can understand
before I learned your language
back when I began
I was more of a karma comma
from absurdistan
adventure was its own reward

when is information more dangerous
when it comes from them or when it comes from us

I’m feelin all terminal
I might not make it to the seven count
the ref shouts man down crowds up hands pound
the mattress as I wake up in an old three piece
hand me down nightmare family approved
DNA assumed to be correct

sometimes the rain comes too hard to restrain
all the laundry hanging on the line
and it blows off the clips and it finally slips
and it streams down the gutter like neon signs
all the pages of the past
showin a horizon never fade from view
imagine going forward without turning back
show me a future that looks like you

we should think about leaving this planet
before it gets blown apart
you and me could be little feathers
floatin round each others heart
baby when you hear them talking
trying to sound so smart
tell them to shut their mouth
little feather
they don't know what they say
